End-of-day (EOD) trailing drawdown

A trailing drawdown recalculated only at the daily close, ignoring intraday equity peaks.

EOD trailing moves the floor once per day, based on the closing balance. Open-trade highs that fade before the close don't raise the floor — much more forgiving for traders who hold through pullbacks.

When comparing firms, 'trailing' without a qualifier usually means intraday; EOD trailing is a meaningfully better term for the same headline percentage.
