On High Stakes the 5% daily is a hard limit (measured from the higher of the previous day's closing balance or equity) and breaching it terminates the account.
The gotcha
Don't confuse the two: traders treat Hyper's pause as harmless and then get terminated on a High Stakes account where the same 'just one bad day' is a hard breach.
Breaching this voids the account outright — the evaluation or funded account is terminated and any unrealised profit is forfeited. It's the most severe class of breach.
