Allowed on 1-Phase, 2-Phase and Instant. On Ascend accounts you may not open/add positions within 2 minutes before/after high-impact news or market open, and may not raise max theoretical loss above 2% of the initial balance in that window.
The gotcha
The 2-minute news lockout and 2% theoretical-loss cap apply only to Ascend accounts — easy to confuse across plans.
What happens if you break it
This is a soft breach: the firm typically warns or flags the account rather than voiding it, but repeated or flagrant breaches escalate to termination.
