Fully allowed during the challenge. On funded accounts, profit from trades opened 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after a listed high-impact news event on a correlated pair counts only 40% — while any loss counts 100%.
The gotcha
Asymmetric: they keep your losses but cut your news-window gains to 40%. Only news that directly correlates to the pair triggers it. If the adjustment pushes you below initial balance you can't withdraw that cycle.
Breaching this doesn't necessarily close the account, but it can disqualify the payout you were trading toward — you keep trading, the profit doesn't get paid.
