Maven Trading: News trading
You cannot open or close trades 2 minutes either side of a red-folder news event. Profits made in violation are stripped (in challenge and funded). On Instant accounts, news trading effectively isn't allowed.
The gotcha
The window catches trades that CLOSE inside it too — take-profits, stop-losses and pending fills — even if opened well before the event.
What happens if you break it
Breaching this doesn't necessarily close the account, but it can disqualify the payout you were trading toward — you keep trading, the profit doesn't get paid.
