On PRO and PRO+ you must be flat — no positions and no orders — 1 minute before, during, and 1 minute after FOMC, Non-Farm Payroll (NFP) and CPI. There is no news restriction on Test accounts.
The gotcha
Open ORDERS count, not just positions — a resting limit order during the blackout is a violation. And it only applies once funded, so habits formed on the eval can trip you.
What happens if you break it
Breaching this doesn't necessarily close the account, but it can disqualify the payout you were trading toward — you keep trading, the profit doesn't get paid.
